A free 3-week healthcare exploration program for middle school students, hosted in partnership with the Aurora Public Library. Students discover what healthcare really looks like — who works in it, how the body fights disease, and where medicine is headed next — through case studies, group problem-solving, and a low-pressure, hands-on environment. No science background required. Just curiosity.
Most students only ever hear about two jobs in medicine. Over three sessions, we open up the whole field — the people, the science, and the frontiers — so students can find the part that fits them.

July 22 · What healthcare actually is, where we receive care, who works in it, and the journey a patient takes.
Session 2 — The Science Behind Staying Healthy
August 7 · How disease affects the body, how the immune system defends it, and what keeps us well — ending with a team brainstorm on a real school problem.
Session 3 — The Future of Healthcare
August 14 · The technology reshaping medicine, the five frontiers transforming the field, and how new discoveries actually happen — finishing with a final case study students present.
